Lucas: Hansbrough Mellows As Sophomore...Maybe :: Carolina's standout sophomore might be less uptight than last year, but he's still just as intense.

Good article about Hansbrough's preparation for this year. As he told the Associated Press in another article, "There's a lot of things I want to accomplish as a team... I had a good year, but I talked to coach and we both agreed there's a lot of things I could get better at individually. I'd like to go a little farther in the tournament and have a better ending."

Hansbrough is a beast. I remember last year going to the first pre-season game at the Dean Smith Center. All of my buddies that are anti-UNC (aka. Duke Fans) were commenting that Hansbrough was overhyped and that he would not be the player everyone had said he would be. In that pre-season game, he dropped around 26 points and used the center from the other team that had him by 2 inches like his personal rag doll.

From reports I hear, he has gotten stronger this year which will prove a big asset to his game. He really showed his ability to play in games against Duke against proven big man Sheldon Williams.

I think he will be one one of the finalist if not the winner of the National Player of the Year. And that is my prediction. HAHAHA

I would totally half to agree with you. Hansbourgh I beleieve hands down will be the Player of the Year. After seeing this domiance he put on last year, having that 40+ point game and bringing the Tar Heels back in that one. I cant wait to see what he does this year. It could be crazy. To me they are easily the favorites to win this year!!!
