UNC edges I-AA Furman, 45-42

Are you KIDDING me? North Carolina barely manages to beat a I-AA school?

Chapel Hill | There wasn't much difference between Division I-A North Carolina and Division I-AA Furman on Saturday night at Kenan Stadium.

Except that UNC had Ronnie McGill.

The senior tailback was too much for the Paladins, running over and around them for 114 yards and four touchdowns in a 45-42 victory.

McGill saved face for a UNC defense that had no answers for the Paladins, the No. 4 ranked team in I-AA. Not only did he run for most of a 58-yard touchdown reception less than 2 minutes into the game, he also scored on a 30-yard run to give the Heels a 31-28 lead late in the third quarter.
It further goes on to say that the Tar Heel defense surrendered more than 500 yards of offense and 30 first downs to the Paladins. Wow. That... that's not good. North Carolina fans, what the heck is going on here?
