And there's your answer Cougar. I couldnt have said it better and it is exactly the way I feel. Those have all been outstanding quarterbacks and the Lions could use one like any one that list.

1. I still don't think Cassel is that good.

2. The teams didn't expect those QB's to be that good. pretty much no one expected Tom Brady to be that good, and Matt Cassel was a back-up in college.

Trent Green, ooh those a once in a blue moon guys, you can't predict that, I garuntee you that the teams that picked those guys thought "Geez this guy will be the next best thing" No they didn't even think they'd be the QB of the future. they just got lucky. Other than Atlanta who traded Farve, all those teams just wanted a 3rd stringer who ended being pretty good. But that isn't a worth just not drafting a potiental franchise guy because Tom Brady was drafted in the 6th round and we think if we draft Graham Harell in the 6th round. he might be Tom Brady

I THINK they should have waited on a QB till NEXT year ?
They could have traded down with the number one pick and got the help all over they so desperately need ?

i dont know if they had to wait til next year .... many real good QB's have been drafted in later rounds over the year ..... but i do think they could have gone a different way in the first round .... like offensive tackle

I honestly THOUGHT when out Tampa Bay coaches came to Detroit the Lions would be OK ?
I THINK Millen was THE problem - drafting stupidly ?
