How in the world can John Elway be the best draft pick when he never played a down for the team that selected him?

QB John Elway, Baltimore, 1983 (Stanford)Retired with most wins ever by an NFL quarterback (he’s now second) and has two Super Bowl rings.

I think they were looking at total career.

Orlando Pace should be higher up on the list. He is a hall-of-famer in my book, and he also has a super bowl ring.

Yeah, but it was a terrible draft pick. Elway said he wouldn't play for the Colts and they picked him anyway. Stupid!

Simpson is too low...Bradshaw too high...Yary over Pace is good.
