Sleepers

Who are your sleepers in this years draft and why?

John David Booty/ QB- Was solid in College despite playing 2 years. Has good zip on the ball and is extremely accurate. Well fit well in a west coast scheme.

Matt Ryan/ QB- Isnt exactly a sleeper, but I like him alot more than others and I do believe that he is top 5 talent, and would stand out if he was in a more competitive QB class.

Earl Bennett/ WR- Enjoyed alot of success at Vandy and was consistent. Remained their offensive idenity every since he was a freshman. Extremely polished receiver ahead of his time which is rare for a young receiver fresh out of college.

Fred Davis/ T.E- Many arent high on him, but I like him.

Quentin Grooves- As someone said before has the potential to be the best pass rusher in the draft. Fits in the mold of great DE turned LBs such as D-ware.

Jack Ikegwuonu/ CB- Dominant corner who would of shown his true talent if he didnt injure himself.

Who are your sleepers and why?

Re: Sleepers

I'm hearing Ikegwuonu, despite the injury, could still go as early as the second round. Supposedly, Green Bay's interested.
As far as sleepers, look at Texas DT Derek Lokey. He's a great pass rushing tackle, plus he can double as a long-snapper. Great value pick.

I agree with you on that one. Lokey was a wrecking crew his Junior year and as a Senior the defensive coaching was much criticized; so much that they fired one and hired a new defensive coordinator.

Re: Sleepers

Matt Flynn QB LSU - He has size and is a competent QB who plays well under pressure and cut his teeth in the SEC and won a Natioanl title
{Just what the Panthers need with a late pick}

Jacob Hester FB LSU - This guy is amazing he does it all the is the kind of guy Bill Polian is looking for. Again I wish I were Marty Hurney on Draft Day this guy would be wearing a Carolina Panthers uniform.

Wallace Gillberry DT Alabama - His work ethic and determination will serve him well in the NFL he will be a complete suprise to everyone who did not draft him. He reminds me of a young Kris Jenkins.
