After yesterday's career-ending-before-it-starts workout* for NFL scouts, the former Oklahoma wideout did what any of us would do as we watched our hopes and dreams take one last lap around the Thomas Crapper before disappearing forever: blamed it on a conspiracy to sully his good name:

"Certain people have tried to hold me down, and they know who they are," Kelly said after the workout. "I wouldn't say the whole OU coaching staff, but certain people, I would say that."

A 4.75 is pretty bad, but I think the comments about the OU coaches will find up having far more of a negative impact on his career than the workout itself would have. In one fell swoop, the kid has shown that he can't take responsibility for a poor performance and is quick to throw others under the bus. Yeah, that's a skill NFL teams are really looking for in a wide receiver prospect.

True, and also illuminates the fact he ran a 4.75 even more in the process..No one likes it when you toss blame on other people..
