Hey everyone I don't watch a lot of college football but I love the draft. However most of what I know about these guys is what I read and what comes out of Mel Kiper's mouth! Now everyone said 2 years ago that Reggie Bush was the next Walter Payton. Well the only thing Reggie Bush and Walter Payton have in common is that they both have an E in their first name. Bush is a special teams player and a third down back while Sweetness was just...a legend. Now people seem to be drooling over Darren McFadden the same way they did over Bush so is he going to be the same glorified reciever that Bush is or is he more of a traditional runningback who is special because he can move the chains, keep his offense on the field and make big plays? I see now why the Texans took Mario Williams (14 sacks in '07) at #1. Obviously they thought the same of Bush as I do and made the right call.

Comparing the two strictly on their college careers, Bush was the better NCAA athlete, in my opinion. Hard to say what kind of pro McFadden will be, but I do think he's overrated coming into the draft.

Well what style of runningback is McFadden? An Emmitt Smith powerhouse straight ahead tackle buster? An elusive Barry Sanders swerving and swiveling? A Roger Craig running back/reciever guy? I've honestly never seen McFadden.

McFadden is very similiar to LT style wise.

Not exactly, I said he runs like LT I don't think he his LT. Not to mention McFadden has had a few off-field incidents.

I like the kid, but he runs too upright...he will get dinged the way that Peterson gets dinged...still I think we can expect a big year from him...how can we not?

he is NOWHERE near lt. lt has footwork and elusive moves. d-mac just sees a whole anr runs as fast as he can. no real vision or leg drive. he get hit below teh waist and turns to a turf hugger. and when he doesnt get a great block he just runs up his fullback's legs.

Tough to compare the two - Reggie was surrounded by stars and had the OL to open holes - McFadden was surrounded by ......... and carried his team for three years. I'd be more concerned with his off field issues than his ability as a RB.

I can say I have heard more about McFadden in the last month being a Jets fan. Gholston & McFadden seem to be the two guys most average Jets fans want. For some reason they both scare me as potential busts. I am a fan of Leodis McKelvin (cb) or if somehow it happens Jake Long.

Now one thing I will say for McFadden over Bush ... he isn't scared of getting hit .. Bush does everything he can to avoid getting touched.

McFadden played against the best competition week in and week out with a team that didn't have the best O-line yet he still managed to put up decent numbers. Bush played in the PAC 10 and was a gifted athelete but seems average when you match him up against NFL talent. MCFadden cannot leave the ladies alone he has one kid and two on the way by two different women. He needs to be picked in the top five so he can pay child support!
