Re: My Pre-Combine Mock Draft

Very interesting. I'm starting to think, after the Super Bowl, the Pats may want to go offensive line at #7. Raiders going after McFadden... not too sure about that. Fargas played well at the end of last season, and they should have a healthy Michael Bush in 2008. I'm K.C. is definitely hopeful that Long happens to fall to them. They need a quality tackle in the worst way.

Re: My Pre-Combine Mock Draft

I think Stewart is a great running back talent...but Dallas will address other needs and pass on a RB. Both Barber and Jones were not first rounders...and unless he is the next Tony Dorsett, Dallas of late has not gone for backs...in the old days they did, I think Calvin Hill and Duane Thomas were both 1st rounders.

Seahawker, your team has the 25th pick overall, what are you hoping for from that pick?

We really need a TE and a RB. Alexander just isnt cuttin it anymore, and morris is not starting material. We have one good TE, Marcus Pollard, but we need another one to replace Will Herring.

I really had high hope for Morris...I thought he could slip into the role...what is he lacking? Durability?

Yeah, hes got the speed and hes a good receiver, but he cant take a hit at all. When were in the 3rd and 1 postion we need a back that can get us the fresh set of downs. And im not so sure he can do that

Re: My Pre-Combine Mock Draft

I thought about the Notre Dame TE going to Seattle but right now, unless he has great workouts, he'll probably be a 2nd round pick. If Stewart drops to them, I could see them going for him.

Dallas will probably use their picks on WR, DB or RB. IMO, how the WR spot unfolds in the first round will be interesting. Of course Dallas could try to move up if they see someone they like. I don't see how they can move up enough to get McFadden though.

Lefty, you're probably right about the OL in New England. Figure they'll have the ability to pick up the 2nd best OL guy in the draft once Long is gone. Or they could use the pick on their defense which is getting older (will Bruschi or Seau be back?...Samuel probably won't).

I didn't point it out before, but I believe the 3,4,5 picks are still undetermined between Atlanta, Oakland and KC. The coin flip hasn't happened yet. So it's possible it could go KC- OT Long, Oakland- RB McFadden, Atlanta- they just bite the bullet and go for the QB Ryan.

I am sold on the Notre Dame TE...Carlson is it? Love to see him go in round 1.

Not bad but I disagree with several. #1.. Keith Rivers at #7 is way too high for him. Also I think Philly will take a WR not another OL, they need a weapon badly.

Re: My Pre-Combine Mock Draft

Bears...unless someone trades up, I think Brohm will be available for Chicago.

Teams guaranteed to not take a QB... Saints, Broncos, Bengals, Patriots, Raiders and Rams.

Teams who may take a QB in the 1st...Falcons, Ravens

Teams who may need a QB at some point...Jets, Chiefs, Panthers
