| Re: 2007 NFL Draft Thought this was pretty funny, from Rotoworld. Apparently, Calvin Johnson does not want to be drafted by the Raiders. "Georgia Tech junior wide receiver Calvin Johnson is reportedly gauging the Raiders' interest in him, and may elect not to declare for the NFL Draft if Oakland seems poised to take him No. 1 overall.---" "This appears to be a stretch, considering he'll be guaranteed roughly $25 million. NBC's Peter King reported Saturday that Oakland would likely choose LSU quarterback JaMarcus Russell with the top pick." |

| Re: 2007 NFL Draft It does look like Michigan DT Alan Branch will forgo his senior season and declare for the draft. According to this story he has not registered for classes...which pretty much leads you to recognize his intentions. He's expected to be a top 10 pick and one of the first defensive lineman off the board. |

| Re: 2007 NFL Draft If this talk about Petrino going to Atlanta is true, I'd fully expect both Brohm and RB Michael Bush of Louisville to declare for the Draft. Kudos to Johnson for not wanting to get involved with that mess in Oakland. That shows me that the kid has a good head on his shoulders. I'm starting to think that the Raiders may wind up going Russell #1 overall.

| Re: 2007 NFL Draft I am a hardcore follower of the NFL Draft. In my opinion, it is the most exciting day of the year. I am just starting to give out my numerical grades to the upper echelon players, so I am getting pretty pumped for Draft Day. Only 110 days, 2 hours, and 55 more minutes until the Oakland Raiders go on the clock! |

| Re: 2007 NFL Draft Notorius, if you can I'd be interested in seeing your grades on the top players once your finished. With the BCS National Championship tonight, I'll be checking out two guys in particular as far the draft goes for the Giants. Buckeyes DT Quinn Pitcock and Gators S Reggie Nelson. |

I'm excited, but the Jets have #26. |

| I also live for the draft, I consider myself a football guru and owe alot of it to the draft. I put my thoughts with the pro thought and see how I match up middle of the regular season to see if the rookies I think would play early are seeing the feild. Usually I do pretty darn good. |

| Re: 2007 NFL Draft Quote:
As far as the Giants go, I feel safety is an underrated weakness. I guess you can live with Gibril Wilson and Will Demps, but they didn't impress me, and I believe that a safety who could take away the middle of the field would help Big Blue tremendously. That said, I am the charter member of the Reggie Nelson bandwagon. The kid reminds me so much of Ed Reed it is ridiculous. I'm interested to hear your take on Quinn Pitcock, Empire. As a Buckeye fan, I have watched him quite a bit the past few years and I would peg him as slightly overrated right now. Don't get me wrong, I like Pitcock, but I don't think he'll ever be a star in the NFL. The kid has a non-stop motor and is very good at stopping the run, but he is not very polished as a pass rusher. I feel as though he is best suited at NT, but he is undersized at the moment. How would you rate the Giants' needs? Quote:
