Is this kid any good? I haven't the first clue about him, having never seen him play. I would like to think the Jets will draft a QB, and it would seem likely that Cutler will be the best available. Who does he compare to, if you can even make a comparison?

All I saw of his was during a little bit of televised practice for, I believe, the Senior Bowl on ESPN. I wasn't overly impressed with his mechanics - it looks to me like he might need to be coached up a bit. That said, the scouts love him, and most now have him rated above Vince Young and closing in on Matt Leinart. Really, only time will tell.

I saw him play a couple times here in Nashville when Jay was QB at Vanderbilt. I was never tremendouly impressed other than he's obviously better than previous Vandy quarterbacks.

My impression was that he was good enough to compete to be the starting quarterback at most any major football program.

Always thought he was good enough to get a shot at the NFL but never expected Cutler to be a 1st round draft pick.
