| Rolling Thunder XXI I'm about to embark on my third trip to pay my respects to my fellow vets. It has come to my attention by another member who is also a vet that some don't know of this event! Rolling Thunder - National Organization Headquarters It is a ride in DC to just help remind both the government, and the citizens, of the sacrifices some have made to this country, and of the plight that some vets face every day. I would ask those of us here that are US citizens to just remember what Memorial day is really all about as this holiday approaches, and keep the Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors, and Marines in your thoughts as the weekend approaches. Regardless of how you feel about what is happening in the middle east and elsewhere, these folks are doing a tough job, under trying circumstances, and deserve what respect and support we can give them. Especially upon thier return home! Semper Fi!

| Re: Rolling Thunder XXI Best wishes on your trip Phils20. There has never been a time when I didn't appreciate all that the military troops have done for me and everyone around me. Having been through an unpopular war I understand how important it is for us to show our sincere appreciation to returning vets. I'm sure we all understand that those who don't make it back are most appreciated. Without them where would we be. Good war, bad war is all a matter of interpretation. I'm not sure there was ever a good war but I am sure we all owe a debt of gratitude for all of our vets. Represent us well Phils and thank you. |
