| Series Wrap-up: @ Twins The Yankees really are looking good lately. Coming off a series win over Toronto, they came into Minnesota ready to play. They swept the Twins with a combined 20 runs and gave up a combined 9 runs. GAME 1: YANKEES 10 TWINS 2
It was Sabthia's game. Coming in with a record of 7-5, he has looked like a pitcher who has either really good games, or not so good games. This was a great game for him. He picthed 7 innings and only gave up 1 run. Check out this line-

SO- 3
He only had 3 strikeouts to my surprise, but if you can shutdown the Twins line-up like that then I have no problem. The one run Sabathia gave up was a solo homerun by Cuddyer. Tomko came in for relief and pitched 2 innings giving up 1 run. PLAYER OF THE GAME:
C.C. Sabathia
Have to give this one to C.C. Look at that line, 7 innings, 1 run. Great game, and really gve the bullpen pretty much a day off. He also got the win. Great game by Sabathia. GAME 2: YANKEES 4 TWINS 3
Deffenitley a closer game. Burnett wasn't amazing, but he picthed well enough to get the win for him and the Yankees. He pitched 6.1 innings with 7 hits, 2 runs, 2 strikeouts, and 4 walks. Coke, Hughes, and Rivera also came in, Coke and Hughes were awarded with a hold while Rivera got a save. PLAYER OF THE GAME:
Brett Gardner
Stats:
H- 1
AB- 4
RBI- 2
Tough to choose a player of the game for this one but I'm going with Brett Gardner. Brett only had one hit, but it was a big one. He drove in 2 runs and without those runs the Yankees might not have won this game. GAME 3: YANKEES 6 TWINS 4
Alfredo Aceves had the start for this game. He only lasted 3.1 innings however and gave up 4 hits, and 4 runs, 3 of the earned. 6 pitchers were used this game.
1. Alfredo Aceves
2. David Robertson
3. Jonathan Albadejo (W)
4. Phil Coke (H)
5. Phil Hughes (H)
6. Mariano Rivera (S)
No player on the Yankees line-up had more than 1 hit, however all of them had atleast one hit except for Nick Swisher who went 0-5. They faced off against Liriano who got the loss and pitched 5.1 innings. Liriano was picthing for all 6 runs the Yankees scored, however only 3 of them were earned. PLAYER OF THE GAME:
Cody Ransom
I'm giving play of the game honors to Cody Ransom. Here are his game stats-
H- 1
AB- 3
BB- 1
RBI- 2
Without those 2 RBIs, the outcome of this game may have been different.
