| Official scorers Everyone here knows the problems I have with some of these guys, who call errors hits with regularity. I don't know if the Yankee official scorer ahs been told to ease up on A-Rod, but last night he called a ball he hit that was a clear error a hit. And this goes on all around baseball. Perhaps I'm too tough on these players, right Gotham?

| Re: Official scorers A-Rod was also involved in one weird double play last night, because he was loafing. Men on first and second, he's the guy on second. Ground ball is hit, flip to second and rather than throw on to first, the shortstop throws to third, where a not-hustling A-Rod is tagged out about six miles from the base. I see something new everyday. |

| Re: Official scorers For instance-the ball Wily Mo screwed up last night was definately an error. The offical scorer ruled it a hit. He took his eye off the ball getting ready to attempt a throw and it glanced off his glove. |

| Re: Official scorers I know that the official scorers are supposably neutral, but they still have their thoughts and curves once in a while. If a scorer grew up in Brooklyn and was officiating a Dodgers-Red Sox game I am sure that he would side with the Dodgers on a close call. As long as they don't make it too obvious, then they keep their job. Our members here at the GoTeamsGo Fan Forum like to scrutinize every call that happens on the field and discuss it here. That is what keeps this forum alive. As they like to say to the batter when he watches a ball sweep past him, "Good eye!" |

| Re: Official scorers I remember I had an option in NBA In The Zone to enable the Home Team Advantage which gave you like 10% more points each game. Considering most games can go to 100 in the NBA, 10% is enough points to win the game. Talk about unfair gameplay, I must report this to David Stern. |

Come playoff time, home team advantage in the NBA is huge. In MLB, it's key because of the ballparks. NFL, is self explained. NHL it's completely about the crowd. It's a great question, but I have no clue lol |

| Re: Official scorers The answer is undefined? Can you recall the 2005 World Series? There were so many questionable calls and I think the umpires were informed by the MLB about their poor and unfavorable calls. In the NFL, they stress the instant-replay so much that it is almost impossible to have a home-team advantage. Unless the coin is a double-sided head trick coin, I don't really see how they could fix the game in any way. In hockey, I've seen my share of bad calls against my Islanders. |
