Who you guys consider the ACE of the yankees, its def wang in the future, but do you guys consider him the ace now or is it moose. Its a toss up for me and i def consider the big unit a distant 3rd

Mussina is definitely the ace of this staff. Here's the stats...

Mussina: 13-3, 1 CG, 3.40 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, 148.1 IP, 128 H, 131 K, 28 BB

Wang: 12-4, 1 save, 2 CG, 1 SO, 3.77 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, 148 IP, 152 H, 45 K, 36 BB

I can't see how Wang is better than Mussina this year. Wang surely has a bright future ahead of him.

Mussina...not even close...look it those K to BB ratios...and WHIP... I think Wang has had a bit of luck shine his way.

i just feel more confident with wang on the mound. The fact that he is now working on 18 SO inn in a row is soemthing that led me to this discussion

Mussina is prone to giving up a big inning, even when he's been pitching lights out for the first part of the game. Wang is much more economical with his pitches and is not a strikeout pitcher. Mussina has better stuff, but sometimes I think he has too many pitches. But if both are at their best, I want Mussina, and that's not a knock against Wang.
