Yankees Avoid Series Loss

The Yankees just avoided the series loss from the Texas Rangers as Mike Mussina took the mound. They ended up tying the series 2-2. Mike Mussina threw 7 shutout innings and gave up 8 hits. All this leading to a 3-0 win over the Texas Rangers.

On the offensive side Jeter and Cano both went 3 for 4, these hits including Derek Jeter's solo homerun.

All in all in what as a pretty good game for the New York Yankees on both sides of the ball.

15th win of the season for Mussina. Definitely has to be a comeback player of the year candidate.

Oh totally last year he wasn't even in the rotation for part of the year.

Actually Josh Hamilton might be up there for comeback player of the year.
