for years us yankee fans have complained tht there was no link to MO in the 9th. it was nice when you had rivera and wetland, game was over in the 7th. Now you get it and your taking joba and turning him into a starter i dont get it. I understand why the rash move was made. But its stupid, now i gotta watch a guy like farnsworth pitch in the 8th thanks for that signing george. Atleast use Edwin Rameriez as the setup man.

back when they thought about making Paplebon a starter ..... you think, well he could be ok as a starter ... but who the hell is going to close out games ... his is almost automatic in the 9th and you dont just put anyone in that role

very stupid move i agree ..... when youre 2 closers are set you dont screw with it

We all knew they were going to force him into this role sooner or later, but, yeah, I agree. You've got a good thing going pitching him out of the pen like he has been; why change that now? I'm not a Yankees fan personally, but I was still hoping logic would prevail and Joba would continue to be groomed as the closer of the future.
