Re: Randy Johnson I dont even give him that much credit. Hes lost velocity and his poor location is making that a dangerous scenario. I mean #8 and 9 hitters are putting his pitches in the seats! Hes far too one dimensional to be of any use and its not like hes going to change the way he pitches mid-season. Id say hes about as good right now as former Yankee scrub/journeyman Walt Terrell. I just wish he could be released like good old Walt!

Re: Randy Johnson As you mentioned earlier, Randy Johnson has the wins. It makes no sense to me at all. He just isn't as dominant as I expected him to be when he became part of the Yankees. At the end of the season, he will have a horrible ERA but plenty of wins. It is quite an odd situation. Latest Update:1-0, 9.90 in last 10IP 2006 Numbers on pace:22-15 with a 5.88 ERA Can any of you compare this situation to any one else in the majors (past or present)?

Re: Randy Johnson If he said he rather retire than embarass himself then isnt that ERA embarrassing? He reminds me of Jim Palmer wanted to make a comeback like 10 years ago and his fastball was like 85 mph. Everyone just looked at him like he was Muhammad Ali facing Larry Holmes. Palmer stopped the embarrassment and kept his reputation in tact. As for The Bad Unit, yes he going to make $16 million dollars but hell be worse next year than he is now (commence crying Yankee fans) and hell be in the media captial of the world so hell have the fans cursing the day he was born, the media humililating him, his teammates even looking at his disgust among other things. Johnson is already loaded, he might just decide that 2007 he doesnt have it anymore and the torture that $16 mil isnt worth it for him. Remember Johnson used to enjoy thinking he was the best there is and now hes a joke...thats a hard pill for a proud man to swallow.
