No it doesn't...I think you can get a feeling for who is going to bring it...but pitchers early on are working on pitches and fitness... I like to see how they close the spring and if it will carry into the first game of the season.

Tampa is 7-1 this spring. Nuf said. Spring training means much less to established veteran teams.

I agree that spring training means nothing, but I wouldn't make fun of the Rays too much. I have a feeling they are going to compete this year.

I wouldn't give Wang too much grief for a bad game. He could have just been working on a new pitch. Pitchers do that in training. They would rather blow up now than later in the season.

wang's pitching style is not suited to having a fresh arm, a sinker dips more with a tired arm. Im not saying u need to throw him every day and hell be god, but taking the off season off and no rigrious pitching schedule makes his arm to fresh IMO, by May he will be in full stride ready to go
