Hideki Matsui Day to Day

Quote:
Matsui (knee, stiff neck) was fine after taking batting practice for the second straight day. "We're getting pretty close to getting him in there," Yankees manager Joe Girardi told Newsday.

I am sure he will rest against scrub teams and be up for the games against the Nation.

Is that worth his salary? Matsui is an average player just like Abreu. The Yankees have to stop giving these contracts to these players who are nothing special. I mean i'd rather have Damon playing left and Melky in center while Abreu is stuck in right field. The Red Sox have built a dynasty of young players and the Yankees are still overpaying for has beens or players that never panned out totally.
