Visiting Yankee Stadium

My Dad is a big Yankees fan, and I'd like to make a trip up that way this year! Any idea for the best way to get there?

I've heard that the train drops you off right at the Stadium. Is this true??

Also. the team they play isn't really that important. Do any of the Yankee regulars know how many of the games are sold out? We would just like to visit the park, and have a good time in the city!

take the A-Train to crapsville .... then get off at Hell ...... a few levels lower and you will be right infront of Yankee Stadium

Cool Re: Visiting Yankee Stadium

Not a train directly from Philly. You have to get into NYC and then get the '4 subway train. It'll take you directly the stadium - about 20 minutes.

Thanks! I think the train is about 120 bucks to get to NY. The subway is the thing I wanted to know about!! Very good!

Now I just need to look into tickets. My schedule at work makes it a bit hard to make a lot of games! I didn't get the best Phillies games this year, but I just like to go to the park!

And Simon, I had to laugh at that!

I'm willing to sacrifice for Dad! I'll wear my fire gear to the City!!

I'm not much of a city person. If the Philly sports arenas weren't right off of I95, I would never go. I can't stand getting into the city.

Only because my Father is a big Yankees fan, and has never been to the stadium! I want to surprise him with a game, and I want to do it in the old Stadium!

One day I will get up that way, but I wish I had made it there when the old park was still there!

well, i will reluctantly admit this is a great surprise for you father .... if you absolutely have to see that stinky team play then you should go to the historic Stadium

Re: Visiting Yankee Stadium

Believe me, I wouldn't go to NY if it wasn't for Dad!

No offense to New Yorkers. Like I said earlier, city's are just not for me! I hate Philly, but I like the teams!

Because Phils 20 wants to see a team with 26 World Series instead of 3.
