Hockey in Yankee Stadium?

The fallout from the NHL Winter Classic continues, with another two teams getting in line for a chance to host another regular season NHL game outdoors. Except this time we have a pair of clubs vying for a shot to host a game at the same stadium. Yesterday's New York Daily News reported that both the New York Rangers and their suburban rivals the New York Islanders have approached the New York Yankees about holding a game at Yankee Stadium -- an event which would be the venue's last moment in the spotlight before meeting the wrecking ball.

I think what made the winter classic so great was that it snowed. If it was just a regular outdoor game, it wouldnt be as special. That would be a good matchup. also devils vs islanders

That would be great. The problem with the idea is you have to make it Yankee Stadium's while to open up the building in the winter for the 1 game.
