The AP reports Brooklyn resident, Matthew Mitchell has filed a lawsuit in small claims court with the New York Yankees as the defendant. Mitchell is requesting $221 for repayment of tickets purchased during the 2002-2007 time frame. He also wants a public acknowledgment from the franchise and "to be forced to come down and answer my claim."

"I look at it almost as consumer fraud, If I'm going to watch a baseball game, then I expect it to be the real thing" he said. The Yankees have declined to comment.

The case is expected to be heard on February 20th.

and actually i think he's right .... what MLB has done (or some of its players at least) is fraud

They'll fight it for sure but it wouldn't surprise me to see some hotshot anti-Yankee lawyer pick up on this and run with it. High profile is always good for the image.
