ESPN is reporting that Yankees P Andy Pettitte has confessed to using Human Growth Hormone.

He's admitting to it but only for a couple of days when he was on the DL. It may well be true ... or not ! Put yourself right out there as a one time user and see if they'll forgive and forget.

Pettitte said he tried HGH on two occasions.

OH YEAH...we have Salem 1692, McCarthyism in the 50's and now the Mitchell Report...

Of course its a witch hunt...if it wasn't, MLB would have dealt with the issue and then told the media...as it is, no one could wait to have a public lynching on ESPN on somethings that are pure hearsay...What would you call that? The Amercian way of doing things?

thats the thing though, its sad its gotten this way, but selig has either turned his head or doesnt know what the hell hes doing or maybe both..

It's kind of funny. In another thread somewhere it was said that if Barry had just admitted to it we may have forgiven him. Now Andy admits and we still want to hang him. Right or wrong, you're gonna hang. We all hate the media for the way they twist this but as soon as the names appear many have them convicted with zero actual knowledge of who did what and how many times.

I agree a little with Selig that we should just start fresh and dump the past, BUT ....... explain to me first what the new lines in the sand are. If we're going to start fresh then no more going lightly. Set the rules, make the unions agree, make the players sign contracts saying they understand the implications. I know .... no one will agree to all of that !!! So much for square one. See you in court.

I dont want to hang him, I applaud him for coming foward, what I dont like is he doesnt think he did anything wrong..

I agree...I mean come on, everyone had a part in the past...so, clean slate going forward and slam them if you catch them...
