Yankees sign LaTroy Hawkins

The New York Post is reporting that the Yankees have signed RP LaTroy Hawkins to a one-year, $3.75 million deal, pending a physical. Good move?

dead arm. has been for a while now. He couldn't make the cut in that pathetic Cubs bullpen.

Hawkins was awful when he was younger and in the American League.

I don't like it. But the Yankees will not sign any middle reliever for more than a year deal.

Well, considering that track record, I can't blame them. If they find a winner, they can always lock him up after the fact.

I understand, but a 2 year deal for a little better pitcher is not unreasonable.
