Manny's problem on the bases usually stems from his walking out of the box. He should have easily had a double yesterday on that ball. Also, the throw from right that he simply walked into home and let the catcher tag him out on was high enough that if he slid correctly, it would have been a close play.
There is no denying his hitting ability, but his lack of hustle should drive Sox fans nuts.

I'd agree that his lack of hustle is annoying at a minimum. It's an issue that everyone is aware of but we just blow it off by saying "It's Manny being Manny". Well that never should have happened and at a very minimum should have never continued. It really is to late now to change him. The only way it will change is for Manny to see the need and understand the positive results that could come from him being a Pete Rose action figure. A big question for me is ... has anyone from BOSOX management ever given him any ultimatums ???
