Phil Hughes made his Yankee Stadium post-season debut tonight in relief of Roger Clemens who couldn't make it through three innings due to injury. With the Yanks trailing, Hughes stopped the bleeding and has been dominating.

Through six, his line is 3.2 IP, 2 H and 4 strikeouts.

If he can get the Yanks (now leading 5-3) into the 8th inning, it will be a tremendous help.

I think Hughes proved he, not Clemens, should've been the one starting that game. The Tribe only mustered two hits off of him.
