The thing is... they all get so nonchalant when bases are loaded and nobody out! They're all like: "
well, if I don't hit something, the next person will" And then they pop out to first base, and the next batter hits into a inning-ending double play! The power of this lineup is actually working AGAINST the Yankees. It's incredibly frustrating! And then, they all want to hit grand slams, and so they swing for the stars. Come on! Against Minnesota, Toronto, Oakland, and LAA pitching you aren't gonna hit many grand slams!!! We need Jeter up at bat EVERY time the bases are loaded. Remember when he had gone 10 years without hitting a grand slam? And the media would ask him why that was... Well, he would tell them that when he got up to bat, he knew he had to AT LEAST get one run in. Swinging for a homer could end up in a pop-up or double play. Jeter would just try to drive the ball, hit it well, and bring home a run! This is a concept the other Yanks don't seem to understand! *groan*
Sorry for the rant....
