Best Way to Get to Yankee Stadium

Believe it or not... I'm going to Yankee Stadium for the first time in my life next Saturday. Now, I'm not all too familiar with New York, since I've only been there two or three times.

I live in New Jersey, and I was wondering what is the easiest way to get to Yankee Stadium? I assume driving there would not be such a great idea (due to traffic and limited parking spaces). So, for you guys who have made the trip many times, what do you recommend? I'm thinking about taking a train into New York and then hopping on to the subway to get to the Stadium. Does that sound logical? Or should I take a bus?

Re: Best Way to Get to Yankee Stadium

i drive, but i think train/subway will be better then a bus. If ya drive take jerome avenue over the major deagan, its a park lot around game time on the major deagen(not sure if im spelling this right)

Cool Re: Best Way to Get to Yankee Stadium

I drive too going from LI. I have a great shortcut that saves a ton of time, but you're coming from the other direction.

If you drive - GO EARLY. Like 2 hours early. Just take the GW to the Deegan and follow the signs.

But if you don't want the stress and don't mind the train, that's not a bad way to do it because then, you don't have to worry about leaving early to beat the traffic.

ENJOY
