Mussina still has another year left on his deal. When asked by reporters about whether his job was in jeopardy, he asked who they had who could replace him.

I think we'll find out any day now. It's safe to say Mussina will be bounced out of the rotation (perhaps Ian Kennedy will be called up).

At this point, just about anyone would be better than Mussina.

Yep, no doubt about it. Of course, if history dictates, their next $100 million pitcher will be Kerry Wood.

Good call, Empire, that's exactly what happened. Mussina's out of the rotation, Kennedy starts on Saturday.

sweet this is what ive wanted for awhile. Has anyone noticed that the yankees runs have always started with new players coming in, remember when cano and wang came up. Then Melky, this year hughes and chamberlin and all the rookie pitchers who did their best to stop the bleeding of injuries. Now its Ian Kennedy's Turn,
