A-Rod hands out #500 HR bats
While he waits for one souvenir from his 500th career home run -- the ball itself -- Alex Rodriguez gave some out. He spent about 40 minutes Saturday evening autographing 65 bats for teammates and Yankees staffers. Even Derek Jeter got one. The Louisville Slugger C271L models were all inscribed "Alex Rodriguez, HR #500, 8-4-07." Rodriguez said he made sure to give every one his "'A' signature." -- Star-Ledger
