Yankees Acquire Wilson Betemit from LA

The Yanks have traded reliever Scott Proctor to the Dodgers for 3B/1B Wilson Betemit.

Betemit is a nice player who can play either of the corner spots and provide some pop. Plus, he can be some insurance for next year in case you-know-who walks.

i think this is a a suggestion to arod, that they wont bid on him against other teams. Im not sure i want to see him play over andy phillips. However it would be good to have a guy, that can give arod, jeter,can,phillips a day off and have a usefull bat
