Cool Re: Alex Rodriguez injured

He's playing in the game. In my opinion, the Yankees shouldn't let him play....This is irresponsible on A-Rod's part.....He's not 100%.

I find it odd that as bad as the Yankees are playing now, people still think they can make a run to get into the playoffs. Is this because they think their players are that good or they just expect to see them in the post season? I don't think they have shown any ability to consistently play well. They are done for the year. I think A Rod should play in the all-star game if he wants. It may be the only excitement Yankees fans get this year.

"I think, you know, 3.9 million votes, you feel like you have a responsibility to go out there and play," he told reporters yesterday. "It's been feeling pretty good, and we'll go from there... The game is about the fans, and to get that many votes, you feel like you have a responsibility to go out there and play well." He probably won't stay in the game long, probably just an inning, and he'll most likely not take any chances in the field. I don't see the harm.

Re: Alex Rodriguez injured

A Rod will play in the All Star game i mean any excuse to get his face out there, but what i dont wanna see is him playing in the All Star game only to come back and say he is going on the DL for 15 days or something like that becuase he has made to much of a push to play since he has apparently been injured recently.

however maybe we are looking at this from the wrong perspective, yankee fans i mean, maybe he has an injury but he wants to play to help the team out, i mean he had a hamstring injury that was probably bothering him becuase its not the type of injury that goes away quickly, but played against the angels and hit a home run. so maybe he is just playing through the pain becuase he wants the team to win and have a realistic chance of atleast a wild card place this season.

either that or the team is just pumping him with steriods
