| Re: Yanks lose to Giants in 13 The Yanks are swept by Colorado (who then go and get swept by the Jays) and lose two of three to the Giants (who had lost seven in a row). How does that happen? How can all that money and talent go to such bad use? It's mind-boggling.
But I may have found an answer.... Yankee fans, consider this:
Maybe the Yankees WANT to lose. Maybe they're just tired of so much winning, tired of constantly defeating the Red Sox, tired of consecutive division titles, tired of having to participate in the playoffs, tired of the glory, tired of the monotony, etc.... Maybe they all just want a year "off"... they want to know what it is like to be a Tampa Bay or Kansas City-type baseball team for a change. Maybe they even want to know what it feels like to be in the Boston Red Sox' usual position (falling short to the Yanks)... And if I'm right in this theory, perhaps, we true fans, should root against the Yankees for their own sake. If we truly love the team, and the team wants to lose....why woulnd't we wish them to lose just like they want?
