It's amazing to look and see how far the two New York teams have changed places since a few weeks ago when they played each other in their first series of the year. The Mets were riding high and had a substantial division lead while the Yanks were on a pitfall and losing ground in the division race.
Now, the Mets are playing awful baseball and have let the Braves (and EVEN the Phils and Marlins) to get within breathing distance in the NL East. While the Yankees are on a big winning streak and letting Boston know they won't die easily.
They don't say MLB is a long season for nothing. And the dog days of summer haven't even come yet.
