| Yankees winning streak The New York Yankees have now won seven straight games. Their latest victory came last night, as the Yanks beat the Arizona Diamondbacks, 4-1. According to the Associated Press, "The Yankees (31-31) won for the 10th time in 12 tries following a five-game skid, reaching .500 for the first time since they were 16-16 after beating Texas on May 9. It's their first seven-game winning streak since a 10-game run in May 2005 that followed an 11-19 start." So they're back at .500 now, and they're currently in 2nd place in the AL East, 9.5 games behind Boston. Can they continue to win and gain ground?

| Re: Yankees winning streak It's a great day... to be alive....I know the sun's still shinin' when I close my eyes.... The Yanks have gained 5 games on the Red Sox in just two weeks (thanks Oakland!) and are only 5 games behind in the wildcard. Damon is thriving as the DH (hitting and running better), Jeter is hitting well, Abreu is inhuman, A-Rod is on fire, and the rest of the gang are doing fine. If the Yanks are within seven of Boston by the All Star race, then we're gonna have a fun summer. |

| Re: Yankees winning streak It's now up to eight straight wins for New York after a 7-2 thrashing of the D-Backs. Mike Mussina earned his first win in more than a month, and the Yankees are over .500 for the first time since April 20.
