Hehe. No, Torre wanted to be ejected, otherwise he wouldn't have made such a big deal. I have a feeling that Torre was just trying to fire up the team by defending Abreu.

Plus, Torre was right... Abreu was safe... But what can you say? Jerry Crawford's a Boston ump....

That was as bad a call as you can make on a play like that. I would have been thrown out as soon as the play was called wrong.
