Cool Yankees are toast

As a Yankees fan, it's tough for me to admit this but I put the Yankees chances of making the playoffs at about 1%. And that's only factoring in miracles.

They are a dead team.

For the team I feel bad but this is partly a problem because dear old George thinks that buying players is the answer. I realize most teams are doing that today but it's kinda nice to see it backfire on him ... at least for a short period of time.

Reality sets in eventually for a sports fan when their team is done. At least you had a hell of run Yankee-fans. Now you have Micheal Kay in his Mickey Mouse voice getting even MORE high pitched because Roger Clemens is throwing pitches , If ever someone needed steroids it's Kay...don't they deepen your voice? The guy sounds like a cheerleader called Mitzy!

Well, now I consider myself a Dodgers fan.

The Yanks are playing the Angels tonight, right?

I'm sure they didn't feel sorry for us during that 86 year span.

Re: Yankees are toast

Well, here's some more dirt on the Yankees' proverbial grave - they lost to the Blue Jays, 7-2, yesterday. According to the AP, "The Yankees fell 13 1/2 games back of AL East-leading Boston, their biggest deficit since August 1995, and have lost four straight and eight of 11. They dropped a season-high seven games under .500 and are tied with Tampa Bay for last in the AL East at 21-28."

Let me restate that, ladies and gentlemen. The New York Yankees are in LAST PLACE!

Cool Re: Yankees are toast

Joe Torre is probably wishiing he didn't come back. If he would have left and they would have been this bad, he'd look really good.

If this continues, I think Torre and Cashman will both get whacked at the end of the year....and maybe it's time.
