It's not their fault their team can perform.

I'd axe the players, not the personel.

Re: Yankees are toast

Yankees have shown no indication they will make a run. Damon is a dog, Abreu shows you every day why he was booed out of Philly, Melky and Cano are not what they appeared to be, the bullpen is perhaps the game's worst, and when Clemens gets there, there will be discord.
As for buying players, everyone would do it if they had the resources. Yankees can't help they are in world's best market.

Absolutely correct. They all do it now. George is the one famous (???) for starting that revolution.

Re: Yankees are toast

And if he hadn't resurrected the Yankees in that way, where do you think baseball would be now? He is a certain Hall of Famer in the end.

Re: Yankees are toast

Yeah, it seems like everything that could possibly go wrong, has gone wrong this year. I don't think there has ever been such a talented team that played so poorly. On paper, the Yanks look unstoppable, but when it comes to playing the game, the team plays with no heart and no luck.

But I do think that the Yanks still have a shot at the playoffs, via the wildcard. With Clemens joining, things may just get straightened out.

The funny thing is, if the Yanks were playing in a different division ( like the NL West or NL Central) they'd be in the hunt for the title.

Btw, sorry I've been gone for so long.... I've been extremely busy and haven't even had time to keep up my blog regularly. Hopefully, I'll be able to get on more often...
