Cool Mussina over the hill

The Yankees made a huge mistake by giving Mike Mussina a 2-year deal. He's far from the pitcher he once was. He used to have nasty stuff. He's so hittable now, it's scary. Am I wrong?

Re: Mussina over the hill

i watched a lot of the game last night and i thought he looked tired out there

no way a real good pitcher should be getting beaten by Tavarez

Mussina is a shell of his former self.
Tavares, somehow, gives Boston one good outing after another.

Re: Mussina over the hill

Yeah he was throwing fastballs at like 84 mph and the Sox were sure hitting them. No doubt he's over the hill and in Yankee fashion they took that fact and gave Mussina contract extension.

That has been a Red Sox tradition for years, nice to see someone else jump onto the bandwagon. All players should be given a base pay and the negotiate what more they can earn through incentives for that year instead of being rewarded for last years numbers.

In theory also, good teachers should make more money than baseball players, and water should be more expensive than diamonds. But this is a Supply and Demand economy.
