Roger Clemens Joe Torre Connection

Amongst the talk of fans wanting to replace Joe Torre with a more "fiery" manager, what about Roger Clemens? One of the reasons he decided to return was because Torre was still the manager.

If Torre gets canned during the season, what will end up of Clemens, if anything?

No way Torre gets canned during the season. I can't picture this team responding to manager who's gonna just step in and yell at them anyway.

Re: Roger Clemens Joe Torre Connection

Clemens returned because he could extort the most money from New York. He couldn't care less who the manager was, because he only has to deal with the guy every five days or so to begin with. I will make two predictions here about Clemens. One is that in a big game he will be getting shelled and grab his leg and come out of the game "hurt". The other is that someone will hit a hard comebacker off of his backside, which happened every other game when he did his first tour with the Yankees.

It will happen. He is never in position to foeld a ball. I saw him hit in the rear sveral times by ground balls when with the Yanks the first time. Luckily for him, he is always protected by his fat wallet.
