Re: What If A-Rod Becomes Average

Kinda makes me wonder just where the Red Sox would be had they gotten A-Rod all those years ago ????

I believe Jeter leads the league in hits. or at least the Yankees. Last I looked , he was well ahead of A-Rod.

I know from when I was digging up the Sox stats that Posada and Jeter were 1-2 in the AL in batting average.

A-Rod does lead the American League in home runs and RBI, though.

Yes, he has been at his 39 RBI for the last few weeks it seems. If the red Sox had gotten A-Rod they would never have won in 2004. Simply put, he is one of those guys, a really great player, who is NEVER going to win a ring.

That's a might big statement there Legend...last I heard it's a team sport...and A-Rod is 1/24th of any team...but hey, if he hits, well its not October...and if he doesn't, everything is his fault...sounds like he gets to play the scapegoat any which way you cut it.

Don't most teams have a scapegoat anyway ?? Look at the Sox. When Manny takes a day off and they lose, it is his fault, and because it is his nature to "need/want" more time off it must be his fault.

This thread is about Alex Rodriguez, not Boston Red Sox promotions.
