| Hughes injured during no-hitter Things have just gone from bad to worse for the New York Yankees. According to the Associated Press, "Yet another starting pitcher on the last-place New York Yankees got hurt Tuesday night. This one was working on a no-hitter in his second major league start... Phil Hughes carried his gem into the seventh inning before a hamstring injury cost him a chance to make history. The team's prized prospect is expected to miss four to six weeks, a sour end to an otherwise encouraging night for New York." New York won the game, 10-1, but... another injury? During such a seemingly triumphant moment? Wow.

| Re: Hughes injured during no-hitter Being a Red Sox fan you'd expect that we'd all be happy but I don't like seeing any player get hurt. These are the types of injuries that can destroy a career before it even gets started. |

| Re: Hughes injured during no-hitter Just when things were looking not so bad. We get Papelbon to blow a save to an awful hitting A's team and then this happens. At least Torre tried shaking things up, batting Abreu leadoff. Good to see Murcer back in the booth. |

| Re: Hughes injured during no-hitter Especially because you'll want the players from the Yankees' roster in a few seasons. |
