Bobby Murcer Returns to Yankee Booth

For the first time since last season, Bobby Murcer will return to the Yankees television booth to work a full game as television analyst for the YES Network. He's in the middle of a fight with cancer. He appeared in the YES booth during Opening Day but was there for just a bit. He will be working all three games in the series that starts tonight.

Great news.

Re: Bobby Murcer Returns to Yankee Booth

Murcer had more guts and class than any ten players, past or present. He was a really good but not great player who got shafted by the Yankees but still returned and gave us one of sport's most poignant memories, his game winning hit the day they buried Munson. He is a truly fine guy and deserves the best.
