Apr 7 The Associated Press reports New York Yankees OF Hideki Matsui (hamstring) strained his left hamstring running out a ground ball in the second inning against the Baltimore Orioles Saturday, April 7. He later left the game in the fourth inning. Yankees manager Joe Torre said Matsui probably wouldn't play until Friday, April 13, against the Oakland Athletics.

After being the Japan's Iron Man, Matsui is starting to look more and more brittle.

Looks like Melky is going to get a lot of work this year. This is why Bernie Wlliams was stupid for being so stubborn. Had he gone to spring training, He'd be playing now.

Yes. Torre implied that had he gone to spring training and showed him anything at all, he would have taken him - probably instead of Phelps.

Since I'm from New England and was raised by a pack of Red Sox loving parents I say yes to the 8 run scenerio. Ortriz found his bat last night so we are good.
