Pettitte, Wang injuries

There's some good news and bad news involving the New York Yankees pitchers. According to the AP, "Yankees left-hander Andy Pettitte played catch Friday for the first time since experiencing back spasms earlier in the week... Pettitte's improvement was welcome news for New York, which also got a scare Friday when right-hander Chien-Ming Wang felt discomfort in his right hamstring during light running. Wang underwent treatment afterward, and Yankees manager Joe Torre was hopeful the injury wasn't serious." Any long-term concern here, Yankee fans?

Cool Re: Pettitte, Wang injuries

You have to be a little concerned. Brian Cashman ruled Wang out of his opening day start and he also said that he will not come back to late April.

Hamstrings are always risky because thery're so easy to reaggravate.

Pettite is always hurt, too.

Re: Pettitte, Wang injuries

Pettite spent his entire time in Houston battling injuries...looks like nothing has changed.
