Cool Randy - Posada

Is the Randy Johnson, Jorge Posada feud really over? I find it suspicious that in 2 spring starts, Randy has pitched to Kelly Stinett both times. Anyone have any thoughts?

Feud? What fued? All I've heard is that Posada and Johnson are learning to work together better over the spring... I never heard about a feud. I always wondered though why Johnson preferred to pitch with Flaherty instead of Jorge. Have any details?

Cool Re: Randy - Posada

I guess feud was the wrong word. They have a strong dislike for each other. Early in the year, Johnson gave up a gopher ball. On the isolated replay of Johnson's reaction, he seemed to looked right in at Posada and threw his arms up in disgust - essentially blaming Posada for the pitch call. That ticked Posada off. Johnson supposedly hates the way Posada calls games.

Even though they said they were trying to work things out, it's curious that Posada hasn't even caught him in the pre-season. That's why I have my doubts.

Wow! Posada is awesome... he's supposedly one of the best "game-callers" out there... I think Johnson is blaming Posada for his lousy first year. RJ needs to grow up.

Johnson having to grow up? Thats a tall order at age 43. Usually when people are that much of an a**hole at that age it sticks. Bottom line is the Yankees arent going to the playoffs unless they can revamp their entire pitching staff mid-season which is about as realistic as shooting laser beams out of your eyes. Does anyone think this old, injury prone team of has beens is going (or limping) to the playoffs? I dont mean a Yankee fan supporting their team, the media is convinced (as is most resonable fans) that this year the Yankees will be watching the Mets from their homes in the playoffs and making some noise. I guess the guys in Queens learned from signing Alomars and Vaughns. Lets hope that several years down the road when these old men that populate the Yankees lineup finally retire that Cashman stops taking in every 39 year old player who is coming to the Yankees to win a world series which is horsemanure anyway, their coming cuz Steinbrenner gives riduculous money to ridiculous players like the old unit.
