from reports ive heard on ESPN, Cano is willing to switch from uniform # 22 to # 24 for Roger Clemens should he decide to sign with the Yankees

There is hope.

I like the number 22, for some peculiar reason.

From what I hear, Cano's being the ultimate team guy -- surrendering the number to increase the team's chances of signing the Rocket. No strings attached. That how ESPN's making it sound anyway. I'm impressed... self-sacrifice, no matter how small, for the good of the team.

Re: Cano To Switch Number For Clemens

Obviously, Cano did not have a personal connection to #22, as does Roger Clemens.

Cool Re: Cano To Switch Number For Clemens

Personally, I wish Roger would just retire already. I'm sick of hearing about it.

pundit i know your tired of hearing about clemens so am i , but it does show us alot about cano. He is defintly a player on the rise, and he isnt gaining an ego, by doing whats right for the team

Yep, that's what I was getting at. His attitude reminds me of Jeter. I like this kid.

Come now, he is the Brett Favre of Baseball...He's never going to retire for keeps...in 5 years he will sign a contract to toss 2 games of 5 innings a piece and teams will line up for him...

If Clemens could wear a dollar sign on his uniform instead of 22 he would.

Why stop there, when there are plenty of other possibilities?

Cool Re: Cano To Switch Number For Clemens

I love Cano. I'm just sick of anything that has to do with Clemens...And I loved Clemens when he was on the Yankees. I think he was great. I just can't take hearing about him, Brett Favre, and their retirement decisions.

Re: Cano To Switch Number For Clemens

Cano is a real team player. And I'm very happy we have him. But Clemens should just make a decision all ready you either sign with the Yanks, the Red Sox, or the Astros or retire. I am sick of this suspense I just wish Clemens would choose the team he wants to play for all ready.
