Johnny Damon

Damon donned the pinstripes for the first time yesterday and was impressive, doubling in his first at-bat and finishing the day 2-for-3. Yeah, its just spring training, but it still had to look awful good to all of you Yankee fans, right?

Cool Re: Johnny Damon

Absolutely Lefty! And I thank the Red Sox for treating him like dirt to give the Yanks the opportunity to get him.

Re: Johnny Damon

Yeah, Damon was impressive yesterday... And I don't think he'll have the problem adjusting to the New York spotlight like Rodriguez and Johnson did. I mean Boston is probably just as tough as New York. He's a nice guy, a great lead-off batter, and an acceptable center-fielder. ( I even liked Damon when he was a Red Sox player)

Hey man...we had Coco in the wings...sure he's a poor man's Johnny Damon...and who knows how he will perform, but the Sox's will embrace him...I mean what did Johnny ever do, besides that World Series/Curse ending thing?...
