It's being reported the New York Yankees won the bidding rights to negotiate with Japanese LHP Kei Igawa. Reportedly, the winning bid was $25 Million. The Yanks outbid the Mets, Cubs, Indians, D-Backs, Padres, Athletics, Mariners among other teams.

They will now have 30 days to negotiate (exclusively) with Igawa.

He's being talked about as being a middle of the rotation type starter.

Igawa was 14-9 with a 2.97 ERA last year for the Hanshan Tigers. He's got a good fastball (90 mph) and a decent curve.

He'll be a good addition to the Yankee rotation....
