| Re: Joe Torre To Be Replaced With Lou Piniella Saw this, attributed to the New York Post, over at ProSportsDaily.com: "After two days of soul searching, George Steinbrenner isn't going to fire Joe Torre, The Post has learned." Make of that what you will, but the fact that no move has yet been made seems to suggest that Torre will stay on to manage to Yanks next season after all.

The only problem is the New York Post is about as honest as the Weekly World News. Theyre 2 stories away from bigfoot and lochness monster reports it seems. I think Torre stays, they get either Barry Zito or Alfonso Soriano to "fix the problem" like the Yankees usually do and in 2007 you get another division championship and first round elimination. |

| Re: Joe Torre To Be Replaced With Lou Piniella Well I dont have issue with the Post but with Torre and the Yankees. From now on you can consider me a New York Mets fan. The NEW champions of New York. I hope Yankee fans like another season with Torre sleeping in the dugout while Sheffield remains clueless at first, A-Rod pops out against the Red Sox and they trade whatever they could and pay Barry Zito the sum it takes to build a castle to "fix" this problem. Oh and another first round exit as well. I told you this team couldn't win the World Series and I was 110% right. All you Yankee fans, you have been disrespected enough. It's not 1998 anymore guys so join me on the winning team or suffer the fate of looking at Joe Torre unmanage for a while. Join us! METS RULE! WORLD SERIES BOUND!!!! YANKEES SORIANO BOUND!!! LOL!!! |

| Re: Joe Torre To Be Replaced With Lou Piniella I am very pleased about Joe Torre's opportunity to finish his Hall of Fame career on his own terms. And, what's more, I congratulate George Steinbrenner for finally showing some restraint. Now, I very much hope he takes it one step further, by getting the opinions of Torre and his coaching staff about what they'd like to see done differently next season. If it's just more of the the same thing, not much will change. |

| Re: Joe Torre To Be Replaced With Lou Piniella But for some odd reason, Joe Torre, decides to step down! Haha, I'm just kidding. I was looking forward to Pinella but I guess I'll have to watch Torre for another year. |
